Murray Anderson
Senior Pastor

Murray has been the Senior Pastor at St Peters since 2009. He leads the Ministry portfolio at St Peters. Murray did a Business Science degree at UCT and then worked in the media industry for a few years. After moving to London he had the opportunity to do a ministry apprenticeship with the Co-Mission network of churches. He then studied theology at George Whitfield College. He’s married to Billie and they have three children: Ben, Tess and Riley.

Jon Morrison
Assistant Pastor

Jon oversees the Mission portfolio at St Peters. Jon completed a 2 year apprenticeship at St Peters & studied theology at GWC. Now a full-time member of the St Peters staff team, He has a passion for mission & evangelism and is excited to be part of a growing thriving church. Jon is married to Leigh and they have two boys, Aaron & Kai.

Carel Pienaar
Assistant Pastor
Carel oversees the Maturity portfolio at St Peters. Carel studied theology at the Bible Institute of South Africa (BTh and Hons.), subsequently working for three years at a church in Goodwood (Cape Town). Afterwards, he continued his studies in theology at George Whitefield College (MA in Church History and Dogma), before working at St. Peters. Carel is married to Mariska. They have two kids: Danielle and Talitha.

Grant Gibson
Assistant Pastor

Grant oversees the Magnification portfolio at St Peters, as well as the Youth ministries He worked as a live sound engineer for about 8 years in and around Cape Town. Before coming to St Peters, Grant served as a Ministry Trainee involved in the Music and youth at a church in London. He is married to Tamlyn and they have three children: Maya, Jesse and Jade.

Caitlyn Brown
Children's Worker
Caitlyn joined the St Peters team in 2019. She heads up the Kids ministries. Caitlyn first joined St Peters while a student at the Bible Institute of South Africa where she graduated with a Licentiate in Theology in 2018. Caitlyn has a passion for seeing children come to know and love Jesus, and for equipping church volunteers for the important work of children's ministry! She also loves spending time with friends and family, as well as drinking lots and lots of tea.

Renee Leatt
Church Operations Manager

Renee is our Church Operations Manager. After working in the travel business for 11 years, Renee attended the Bible Institute of South Africa in 2004 & 2005.  However, she ended up getting married and having 3 kids and landed up going back into the travel business. She is very excited to be the Church Operations Manager and is looking forward to serving at St Peters.

Interns

Tim Gertzen
Intern
Tim is doing the Internship programme at St Peters in 2020 while he considers pursuing Full-Time Ministry. He has a BA in English and Law from the University of Cape Town. Although a Cape Town local, he is new to the 'Valley' and is still getting used to the wind!  Tim loves reading, getting outdoors, and watching Test cricket. Most of all, he loves teaching people about Jesus and seeing people grow to love Jesus more.

Joe Lyons
Intern

Joe went through the Gap Year program in 2019 and has decided to take on an internship at St Peters for 2020. He grew up in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, were he attended Grey High School. His hobbies include surfing, music and rugby. He has a passion for media minisrty and creating content that spreads the Gospel.

Carla Stephenson
Intern

Carla has a missionary kid background in Senegal, West Africa. She returned from Senegal to South Africa to study theology in 2017 at the Bible Institute of South Africa and has since joined St Peters church and happily married Cuan Stephenson. Having graduated with Licentiate in Theology, she now looks forward to growing in practical ministry experience

Gap Years

Stephan Van Rooy
Gap Year

Stephan is from Cape Town, where he grew up for the most part in Fish Hoek, but attended church at Tokai Community Church, until coming to St. Peters in 2015, where he is now currently doing a gap year program. He was home-schooled until high-school where he was mainly self educated through to the end of A levels. He enjoys woodwork, cooking, math light gaming and classical guitar.

James Carter
Gap Year

James is from Fish Hoek, Cape Town where he attended Fish Hoek High School. He mainly started attending St peters in 2019 and he is now currently doing the St Peter’s gap year program. His hobbies include computers, electronics, competitive gaming, reading, music, exercise and electric guitar.
